My Reflection
first we drew the pattern out, then we traced it out with black vivid. And then we dyed then with  cotton buds.
 I really enjoyed this, I think next time I have to work on not rushing my art work.

24 Hour Time

My Reflection

I was learning to understand 24 hour time and write the time in numbers (digital) and words. In this activity I had to write the time that is on the digital clock and the time that is on the analogue clock. I think I didn't achieve this activity because I don't know how to tell time and it was very confusing. My next steps in learning time are to learn more about 24 hour time.

My persuasive speech - TV should be stopped!

My Reflection: I was learning to write, plan and present a persuasive speech. My success criteria were: - I have an introduction, conclusion, and three paragraphs each giving a reason to support my main argument - each of my paragraphs are at least three sentences long - I have researched and included facts to back up my argument - I speak loudly and clearly to my audience - my speech is between 2 and 3 minutes long I think I achieved my success criteria because my speech was between 2 and 3 mins long . Next time I write or present a speech I will need to work on speaking loudly and clearly. I think I did well at writing it.

readers theater - Any excuse

My reflection: I was learning to read aloud with expression. My success criteria were to - read with a loud, clear voice - change my voice depending on the punctuation - hold my book so that the audience can see and hear me clearly I think I achieved my success criteria because I did speak loudly and clearly
 Next time I do a reader's theatre performance I will work on not being silly 
I think I did well because I listened to the  person who was videoing   

Youth town

here is a photo of me doing Youth town.We are learning to play a game .I enjoyed playing it.my next steps are to listen to the instructor.

2 digit numbers

My Reflection: I was learning to add two digit numbers using place value. In this activity I had to add up the ten and ones and add them together to make the correct answer I found this easy because I knew what was the answer to the quotation
My next steps are to check back in my work Complete the activity and make it to a high stander

Rio Olympics 2016

WALT answer a range of comprehension questions. In this activity I had to read the store to find information I found this tricky because I did not read the text properly before I tried to answer the questions.

My next steps are to stay more focused and to read the text properly.

100 word challenge

I was walking in the forest when I suddenly I was stuck in a gooey and smiley dungeon I was covered with it then I heard something it heard like a giant and it was.I screamed with terrier and the giant roared with a big  he said what shall I eat today a human been will be nice I wanted to scream but I could not nothing came out then a another big giant . I tip toed out of the enormous 
  room then more trouble came more giants I accidentally bumped in to one I was lucky because it wad a friendly wan then he picked me up a took me outside and tolled me to go I said I can't I don't know the way back the giant said I well take you so we went.          
My Reflection I was learning to use parts of speech to add interest and detail to my writing. I found this tricky because I was trying to find the correct spelling for the words. In this activity I had to use at least three interesting adjectives in my writing. My next steps in my writing are to add more dealt to my work by adding some onomatopoeia and verbs.

My Reflection I was learning to use my five senses to add detail to my writing. I found this easy because it was easy to retail my holiday in small words.
In this activity I had to use 3 senses saw heard felt and wondered. My next steps are to add more detail to my work.

Term 2 week 9 Dear Diary

Dear Diary, this term I have learned about two letter blends and also about solids,liquids and gas. I know lots of solids ,liquids and  gas gas is a tip of liquids that has more space then a liquid has.And a liquid is like water,rain and orange juice.And last of all solids solids are like a bike,ball and computer.And that is all I am going to talk about today.

My reflection
WALT write an acrostic poem about MatarikiI achieved the success criteria because I have written a sentence for each letter, and the first word of each sentence starts with a letter from ‘Matariki’ and my writing makes sense. I have only written about two main features of Matariki. My next steps are to write about more main features of Matariki.

I was learning to use my Number knowledge to solve addition problems.I found this easy because I know my addition. Next time I will tell my teacher to give me a hard one.

Te Tuhi visit

My Reflection:
Last week I went on our Te Tuhi visit. We did the Wish You Were Here workshop.This is my picture I enjoyed doing the part we painted.

100 word challenge

I was walking home with my bag filled with homework suddenly  I so something shimmering in the sun I walked towards it and there it was there in that very spot it was a...key!!!!. I was so exited   I headed it in my bag and then something was glowing it was a door in the bushes I  put the key in it and it worked the door opened . And then it toke me to a magical  place  I  was  free as  bird  there was  dinosaurs and  fairy and all sorts of things and there was free food. I was like a dream come true I fell on a pillow. but there was something wrong there was no way out  and then ...fairy wings appeared  on my back !!!!!!


I was learning to use describing words to give my write more meaning.  
I found this easy because  you just  need to do two cotter of two pages

My Reflection
I was  learning  to write a Did You Ever  poem. I found this hard because my computer was not working and to find the right pitcher. Next  time I won't to do one of an animal .

My Welcome Post 2016

Welcome to my Year 4 learning blog. This year I am in room 15 and my teachers name is Miss Massey. I enjoy  the blanket game and doing work on the chrome books. This year I am looking forward to be doing art work. I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
